A revenge story wrapped in gothic menace
Play’n GO has introduced Cursed Moon Power Collection, a gothic horror video slot built around coin gathering, a rising multiplier, and a layered progression system. The release leans heavily into a grim fantasy tone while tying its mechanics directly to the story.
At the center of the game is Dante, a vampire hunter who becomes cursed and turns into the very monster he once fought. Instead of surrendering to that fate, he rejects the vampire path and sets out to bring down Dracula while trying to reclaim his humanity.
The setting reinforces that struggle with haunted woods, looming castle shapes, and a moonlit sky stained red by the curse. Familiar horror imagery such as wolves, zombies, Mr. Hyde, and vampires appears across the reels.
Core mechanics that drive each spin
The slot uses a five-reel, four-row layout, and winning combinations come from matching adjacent symbols from left to right. That simple structure gives the game a classic base while leaving room for its more elaborate special features.
Coin collection sits at the heart of the design. Coin symbols land on the middle reels, while Slay Collector symbols appear on the outer reels; when both show up together, the collectors gather the Coins and Instant Win symbols for added value.
One of the more important base-game features is the Soul Fire multiplier. When its symbol lands on reel five, the multiplier grows and boosts the value of collected Coins and Instant Win symbols, although regular payline wins are not affected.
Progression levels add pressure and momentum
Cursed Moon Power Collection also includes a five-stage progression system that keeps the action moving. Level Up symbols advance the meter during both the base game and Free Spins, but the biggest rewards appear once Free Spins unlock new stages.
As players climb higher, collection events can be doubled and stacked Money symbols can be added to the middle reels. At the top level, every spin guarantees an Instant Win symbol, creating a much more aggressive reward pattern.
There is also some protection for unfinished progress. During Free Spins, Level Lock symbols can preserve advancement, letting players continue later from the level they had already secured.
Play’n GO ties the design to Dante’s arc
Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, said the title was built to mirror Dante’s transformation and relentless pursuit. He described the collection feature, multiplier growth, and level system as part of the same escalation, with each mechanic reflecting the hero’s growing power.
The company says the result is a slot with a darker identity where the story and gameplay move in step. Players can now find Cursed Moon Power Collection across Play’n GO’s full operator network.
